and I smiled.
A simple mistake,
or maybe even intentional.
Homonyms are tricky that way.
I couldn't choose which I liked better,
but maybe I need to think about it differently;
Soul Mate
The world is a tub
of water, and we are the
only drops of oil.
Sole Mate
Like DNA strands,
T goes with A, G with C,
and I match with you.
and maybe they're really the same.
Though the two words
separate are so different,
when paired with mate,
they feel like they belong together.
