I got a new job a few weeks ago.  It's just training for another few weeks, but it's full time.  However, it doesn't pay my bills by itself until hopefully after I start making commissions.  In the mean time, I now have both jobs, and I work about 51 hours a week.  I'm tired. I can't begin to remember all the things that have happened since I frequented this site more often.  dA's changed a lot in some ways, and not so much in others.  I'm pretty much the same way, though. I'm a college graduate now.  BA in Linguistics and Creative Writing.  Still the same old job, though.  I'm working on that.  I've managed to write a new poem, "Phosphenes," recently.  It's the only thing I've finished since the end of 2010, when I had my last poetry class.  I'm not happy about that, so I aim to do something about it.  I found a bunch of old prose from a fiction writing class I had a long time ago.  I don't know why I never put

So I got to see Billy Collins read some of his poetry yesterday afternoon. It was in commemoration of the University of Arizona Poetry Center's 50th anniversary. It was fantastic. Billy Collins is hilarious, and he's easily my favorite poet. So I had my 400 level poetry class this morning, which is held in the Poetry Center, and as I was walking out to head home, Billy Collins walks in the front door. I got to shake his hand and thank him for the reading. And now I am feeling very stunned and fanboyish >.>
